The “Phase Box with Mylar spine is widely used at the Folger. The clear spine allows curators to look at the books while still protecting the object – making both Curators and Conservators happy!I am more than happy to help people make their own box. Willing box makers need to bring their own book and $5 to cover the cost of materials. Participation is limited to the first 6 eager members who RSVP and request to make the box, though we have more space for those who just plan to observe.
