On Saturday, October 19, from 1:00- 2:00, Paige Billin-Frye will be giving a talk about hand bookbinding and will be showing several of her hand bound works at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial DC Public Library in the LABS maker space. You can attend either in person or online. You’d need to register to attend in person as the space is limited to 30 seats.
The Labs is a great maker space on the lower level of the library. There are laser cutters, Cricut machines, sewing machines, 3-D printers and other technologies for the use of library card holders. They also sponsor once a month talks by makers who work in various media.
